Michael och Prince brukade titta på Peter Jacksons filmer tillsammans utan ljud för att studera hur regissören tänkte.
“Probably Peter Jackson because I love his movies. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and King Kong. I just love the way he shoots [and how] he brings things and depicts it back to life. I used to study his movies with my dad, put the volume off and just watch it, just the shots to see how he put it together."
BELA FARKAS
The young man in the pics is Bela Farkas who was the little boy who Jackson met in 1994 in Budapest while visiting a hospital. It’s the first time he’s ever given an interview. In 1994 Bela was an orphan in need of a liver transplant but at the time no such operation was performed in Hungary and it was very expensive abroad. When Bela was born his parents left him, so he had no hope to get the money. When Michael visited the hospital he asked the doctors why the boy was so thin and yellow and they explained what had happened to him. He immediately said that he would pay for the operation and the treatment. Not only would Jackson go on to pay for the operation, but also all the treatment that was needed after that and he continued to send Bela gifts too. Shortly after his operation Bela was adopted, so he grew up with loving parents. When Michael went to Hungary for the HIStory tour, he met Bela again. The boy then told him: “It as if you are my father.” Michael laughed and told him: “Then you are my son.” They remained in contact until Jackson’s death. Michael would send him cards, gifts for his birthday, for Christmas and Bela sent him drawings and photos and updates on his life. When Michael died Bela cried as if he had lost a father. He is 24 now and has just become the father of a healthy girl. He says the doctors predicted he would not live past his 18th birthday and here he is at 24 still doing well. He is forever grateful to Jackson and is sure he’s in Heaven now.

På begäran av Patricia att lägga upp The Jacksons: An American Dream lägger jag upp del 1 ovan! Serien fortsätter i del 2 och del 3. Detta är en miniserie som sändes på ABC i november 1992, och är baserad på familjen Jacksons liv.
Serien vann en Emmy Award för Outstanding Individual Achievement in Choreography, och var även nominerad i kategorierna Outstanding Individual Achievement in Hairstyling for a Miniseries or a Special, Outstanding Miniseries och Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Drama Miniseries or a Special.

Oh wow, I didn't know I had readers outside Sweden. Very cool! (I hope Google Translate is doing a great job, without any misunderstandings, haha) Yeah, I know, I want to taste them as well!! On this site it says that Michael De Pippo was eating a bowl of Cap'n Crunch cereal when "Thriller" started playing – which inspired him to design and illustrate four cereal boxes based on Michael Jackson's signature looks and music. I'm not sure if the cereals are real or not, though.
MOTOWN OCH HOYT-SCHERMERHORN ST
Igår kom jag hem från New York, och jag vill visa och berätta allt Michael Jackson-relaterat jag har fått uppleva där! Jag var på Motown-musikalen, som både Berry Gordy och Diana Ross tidigare har sett, och den var fantastisk. Lillkillen som spelade Michael i Jackson 5 var så duktig. Skådisen som spelade Diana Ross bad oss i salongen att fatta varandras händer även om vi var blyga, rädda eller hade svettiga händer, vilket fick mig direkt att tänka på Michaels tal där han uppmanade till samma sak. Det var fint.
I fredags for vi till Brooklyn och stannade på tunnelbanestationen Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets, för där skapades magi! Där spelade Michael in kortfilmen till "Bad" och det var underbart. Direkt jag fattade att jag skulle på den här resan ville jag besöka den platsen. Tyvärr var sektionen (på bild ovan) avstängd – jag vet inte varför, men man fick då inte gå uppför den trappan där Michael egentligen höll till och spelade in videon, vilket var ledsamt. Jag frågade till och med polisen (det fanns en polisstation där i tunnelbanan) om de inte kunde öppna, men det kunde de inte då de inte hade tillgång till det. Men det faktum att Michaels röst har ljudats där samt att han har sprungit uppför trappan på bilden (vilket han gör i musikvideon) var så häftigt. Jag gick runt där med ett leende hela tiden, det var det bästa på hela resan, haha. <3
