Klarar inte av hur söt han är

Bill Whitfield: ..there was one memory that kept running through my mind, a conversation I’d had with Grace back at the Monte Cristo house when I first started working there. She and I were in the garage. I was putting together some of the security equipment, and Grace was at the little workstation she’d set up. Mr Jackson had told her to try and get in touch with somebody.

She was getting frustrated and she said, The boss wants me to get in touch with this person, and I keep leaving messages, but nobody’s calling me back. It’s like he forgets sometimes that people don’t want anything to do with him after all this mess.“ I said, ”What mess? What are you talking about?“

The trial,“ she said. ” Since the trial, a lot of people just don’t call back anymore.“

She was giving me the heads up, filling me in on how things worked, like she often did. She started telling me about the days right after the trial was over. ”After he was acquitted,“ she said, ”we had a party at Neverland for him to celebrate, and nobody came.

A few people,“ she said, ”but not many“.

She said they’d put together a guest list of all these friends and people Mr. Jackson had worked with over the years. They invited close to three hundred people. Maybe fifty showed up. And a lot of people who did come were people that worked for him. People that worked the grounds at Neverland. People from his lawyer’s office. People who were paid to be there. Everyone else called and said they couldn’t make it or they had other things planned.

And he knew,“ Grace said, ”He knew why they didn’t come. People called him and told that they loved him and that they were praying for him, but very few people would go public and say that they believed him. A lot of people act like his friends but not they’re not really his friends. If he’s not making money, they’re not really around.

- Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days

I just feel really sorry for him."

(Michael lyssnade faktiskt på "Blood on the dance floor" här, haha!)

“Bad” is a song about the street. It’s about this kid from a bad neighborhood who gets to go away to a private school. He comes back to the old neighborhood when he’s on a break from school and the kids from the neighborhood start giving him trouble. He sings, “I’m bad, you’re bad, who’s bad, who’s the best?” He’s saying when you’re strong and good, then you’re bad.“

Try and think of a person who became an international success before he hit puberty, gave millions of dollars to charity (and subsequently saved thousands of lives), was an innovator of dance and fashion, and changed the music industry and increased its standards to levels that had never even been contemplated. Try and think of a person who’s music has touched more lives and been bought by more people than any other person’s music on the planet, who united countries, religions and races. Think of someone who stayed humble despite his overwhelming success and became the international symbol for love and peace when he was alive. Someone who was in tremendous physical and mental pain for about 40 years and to this day every supposedly damning story or ‘fact’ about him has been proven wrong. Think of someone who broke racial barriers and fought against the discrimination against sex, age, sexuality and race since he was a child. This person gave more to charity than any other performer in the world and brought more people together than any other singer or political party.

The only person who fits all of this criteria is Michael Jackson. This is why we say there can never be another King Of Pop, there will never be another Michael.

After one of the shows in Las Vegas, Joseph called a group meeting… However, Michael decided not to go.
Later, Joseph caught up with Michael as he was wandering through the casino of the MGM Grand. He tapped Michael on the shoulder. Michael glanced back, saw who it was, and continued walking. Joseph roared, ‘What the hell?’ He shouldered aside patrons in an effort to reach his son.
‘I remember it like it was yesterday,’a Jackson 5 fan who had gone to Las Vegas to see the show. ‘Michael was dodging his father all over the casino, hopping around like a jackrabbit, trying to outrun Joseph. ‘You listen to me,’ Joseph demanded. Then he grabbed Michael by the arm and yanked him over so roughly even I almost stepped in. I had no idea what was happening, what the problem was, but I couldn’t help but watch.’
Huck recalled that Joseph spoke softly, rapidly into Michael’s ear. Michael listened, his face a blank. Then, in mid-sentence, it seemed, he shook himself free of Joseph and pushed him away. 'Don’t you ever touch me again. Do you hear me?’ Michael’s voice could be heard above the din of the slot machines. People in the vicinity turned to stare and, upon recognizing him, began to whisper among themselves. No one came forward.
‘I never dreamed that Michael Jackson could raise his voice to his father, or to anyone else. I was shocked. He sounded hurt. When he shouted, it was an odd sound, like a wounded animal.
~ STEVEN HUCK (i Las Vegas under en Jackson 5-show)

(The Glenda Tapes 2-2)

Michael: You know what, I don’t want them to get close and I don’t want them to see in my soul. And then I deal with this anorexia thing… I feel sad.
Glenda: Don’t, Michael. You look really good. (Silence) You look really good.
Michael: (After a silence- very low, strained) I don’t look good. I (I)

Michael: It’s like, If I danced wrong, if I sang the wrong note, I’d get the hell beat out of me, I’d get thrown in the basement. So instead of taking that out on other people, I withdrew and I’d take it out on myself. There was nothing I could control in my life but my eating.

Du vet aldrig vad någon går igenom. Ha det bara i åtanke.

Listening to Mike’s entire catalogue from beginning to end I imagine is a pretty emotional experience because you can just hear how he went from singing for pure joy when he was younger to singing to vent his anger as he got older.

He just got progressively more angry at the world, and it’s so sad to think about.

"I randomly watched that interview with MJ and Lisa Marie and I’m just…In a bad mood because…They interviewer (Diane Swayer) is talking to him about how his HIStory promo is the biggest example of concieted celeb and he’s getting people to worship him and other bullshit ….I dunno it just makes me sad because this man NEVER said he was King although he knew it. He was humble I would say- even to a FAULT. He makes a promo with white girls fainting over him, a statue of himself being erected, and you call him egotistical and such, when this man NEVER had a Kanye I’m the best/better than you moment even though he had EVERY right too. And it’s like… All he got was shit for EVERYTHING I don’t know how he did it it astounds me.

Like in that (ugh I hate to even talk about it) Martin Bashir interview, where Michael’s like “I like to climb trees” and the guy goes oh you like to climb trees more than having sex? YO. The man said he like to climb fucking trees why you tryin so hard to make him like some freak over a simple statement. That’s like… you saying to me “I like drinking tea” and I go “what you like drinking tea more than having sex wow you’re a sexless child like freak” NAH FAM. Person said they like to drink tea what the fuck does that response got to do with ANYTHING

Like they never let him LIVE. The lady asked him if he wished he still had “black skin” and Mike is straight up like “I love being black next.” I don’t know how he did it. That love in his heart… And no one even acknowledges that"

I thought she had to have it, since the first time she came. Who knows the situation, mysteries do remain. And now I wonder why, I breakdown when I cry. Is it something I said or is it just a lie (is it just a lie)? I try so hard to love you, some things take time and shame. I think the whole world of you, your thoughts of me remain. I'll play the fool for you, I'll change the rules for you. Just say it and I'll do, just make this thing come true (make a dream come true).
If I let her get away, though I'm begging on my knees, I'll be crying everyday, knowing the girl that got away.
I can't let, I can't let her get away. (x4)
I tried to mastermind it, by saying let you be, but everytime I did it, the hurt came back at me. I told you that I need you, a thousand times, and why? I played the fool for you, and still you said goodbye (still you said goodbye).
If I let her get away, then the whole world will have to see a fool who lives alone and the fool who set you free.
I can't let, I can't let her get away. (x4)
I got the feeling, troubles gotta stop. I got the feeling, she's never gonna try. I got the feeling, she's never gonna stop. I got the feeling but she's never gonna know. My friends thought she's gonna like it. I got the feeling but she's never gonna take it. I got the feeling, her head's all fucked up. I got the feeling, she's out to play.
Can't let go. Can't let go.

"One of the things he always told me was, don't be afraid to be different. In other words, when you have that desire, that drive, people are going to try to pull you away from that, and pull you closer to the pack to be 'normal.' And he was saying, It's O.K. to be that driven; it's O.K. to be obsessed with what you want to do. That's perfectly fine. Don't be afraid to not deviate from that. One of the books that he gave me that helped him communicate with me was "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," which was about that.

Beyond the genius of what he was, he was just a genuinely, genuinely nice person. He got me hooked on movies that I would normally never watch. Fred Astaire movies. All the old classics. I would never, never watch those. I remember my fiancée and I telling him we were getting married, and him just being really excited and actually just offering up the ranch to have our wedding there, because privacy was going to be an issue. We wanted to get married in a church, so that's what we wound up doing. But he made the offer. He was just a genuinely nice person who was exceptionally bright, exceptionally bright, and driven and talented. You mix those things together, man, you have Michael Jackson."

"A star can never die. It just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life." ~ Michael Jackson

3T uppträder med "Why" och "I need you", som Michael medverkade i.

titta på honom. TITTA PÅ HONOM.

"Does nobody else find it weird that if the Jackson 5 never made it (or never even formed), Michael would probably still be alive, living in Gary, Indiana as a teacher or in the steel mill his father worked in or smth. He would be a ‘normal’ person living an average life. He would probably nearly completely white by now but wouldn’t have had the money for makeup to cover it up or for any of his surgeries. If things had turned out a little differently, maybe if Joe didn’t decide to form a band, Michael would probably have a small family and be alive and sing his children to sleep every night with that beautiful, beautiful voice. 1000s of children and animals would probably be dead because the huge quantities of money Michael gave to charity wouldn’t have actually gone there. None of us would know each other. None of us would have ever heard him sing or heard any if his songs. My life would be so different. I just find that all so bizarre to think about I can’t quite comprehend it."
